Book Tag Saturday: Who Am I?

Welcome back to a rather existential Book Tag Saturday! I’d like to thank Reg @ She Latitude for tagging me for this one (who has the most amazing reviews and most aesthetically-pleasing designs, if you haven’t checked her blog out already). I am such a sucker for personality quizzes, so I’m super excited to start this tag.

Let’s get started!

What’s the meaning of my name?

My first name is Jamie, which supposedly means…

Supplanter. Or just: a female given name derived from James. Well, alright. That was pretty anti-climatic. Though the website gave me this free poster, which is…uh…something.

jamie
thanks, guy who looks like Buzz Lightyear

What is my Myer-Briggs personality type? (link)

I am The Mediator! (INFP)

Here’s an overall description from the site, which I feel is actually pretty fitting:

INFP personalities are true idealists, always looking for the hint of good in even the worst of people and events, searching for ways to make things better. While they may be perceived as calm, reserved, or even shy, INFPs have an inner flame and passion that can truly shine. Comprising just 4% of the population, the risk of feeling misunderstood is unfortunately high for the INFP personality type – but when they find like-minded people to spend their time with, the harmony they feel will be a fountain of joy and inspiration.

What is my zodiac sign?

Aquarius! Which apparently means:

Strengths: Progressive, original, independent, humanitarian

Weaknesses: Runs from emotional expression, temperamental, uncompromising, aloof

Aquarius likes: Fun with friends, helping others, fighting for causes, intellectual conversation, a good listener

Aquarius dislikes: Limitations, broken promises, being lonely, dull or boring situations, people who disagree with them

I think this is pretty spot on, except I do actually like being alone most of the time. And I wouldn’t exactly say I’m a good listener…

What is my Hogwarts house? (link)

raven
Ravenclaaaaaaaw!

What are my learning styles? (link)

I have a multimodal learning preference.

Broken down, it’s:

Visual: 9

Aural: 6

Read/Write: 9

Kinesthetic: 10

Which is…good? I think?

Am I Right or Left Brain dominant? (link)

I am apparently very much left-brained dominant. Which basically means I prize rationality and logic over intuition and creativity. I do always say I think with my head rather than my heart, and I guess this proves it. (Though this does go against my Ravenclaw house, which is interesting)

What is my blood type?

My parents don’t know and I don’t know, but they’re both A, and so, according to a handy chart I found online, that means I’m either A or O.

What career am I meant to have? (link)

No surprise here, I’m meant to be a writer! Which is apparently what most people who do this tag get, but since we’re all writing our own blogs, I’d say that’s pretty accurate.

“You have a skill for language, your imagination is vast and you are artistic and creative. Your brain is just overflowing with ideas, and all you have to do is get a piece of paper and share it with the world. You were born to turn words into magical stories”

Which Divergent Faction do I belong in? (link)

I belong in Erudite! I never read the series so I’m not really sure what that means and the site offers no explanation, so…that’s that.

According to Wikipedia, it’s the intelligence faction, so I’m just gonna assume it means something close to Ravenclaw.

What does my birth order say about me? (link)

I’m the firstborn child, which apparently means I’m a natural leader, ambitious, and responsible. Though I don’t identify with any of those traits lol. Although, “a 2007 study in Norway showed that firstborns had two to three more IQ points than the next child,” so if my sister’s reading this…HA!

That’s the tag!! I had so much fun doing this, as I always do whenever I take personality quizzes, and I learned more about myself which is always a plus. Though apparently my mind can’t decide if it’s more rational or creative. Can I be both?? Is that possible??

I tag…

Everyone @ LILbooKlovers

Mandy @ Book Princess Reviews

Holly @ Nut Free Nerd

Kate @ Meltingpotsandothercalamities

Nadwa @ Painfully Fictional

And anyone else who wants to do this tag!

Of course, if I tagged you and you’ve already done it or don’t feel like it, you don’t have to! (Though if you can resist taking a personality quiz…you are stronger than I am.)

  1. Thanks for doing the tag and for the kind words! I’m so honoured. ❤

Also yay for being a Ravenclaw and a firstborn child and getting writer as your career. I'm starting to doubt the accuracy of that career test, though; pretty much EVERYONE I've seen got the same answer! (Although in a way I suppose that makes sense given how we're all book bloggers?)

    1. Of course! You’re welcome 💖 And I know, I’m pretty skeptical about that test too. I can see how it would make sense since we’re all technically blog writers, but it’s weird that there wasn’t more variety on that site. Maybe there are only like 3 possible results? I should answer with all the opposite choices and see if it still says writer 😂

  2. Ooooh, this was so much fun to read, Jamie! It’s always so much fun to read more about everyone. 😀 I love how your house was pretty much against everything with the brain dominant. XD (And trust me, you weren’t missing much with the Divergent one ;)) Thanks so much for tagging me, and wonderful job, Jamie!! 😀

    1. Thank you!! ✨ I know, I feel like my mind is at war with itself or something 😂 and good to know I’m not missing out on Divergent, I have no plans to start that series lol. Hope you have fun doing this tag! 💖
