Book Tag Saturday: “What Cats Do” Book Tag

Thank you to Kate @meltingpotsandothercalamities for tagging me! Her blog is great; she created this tag, has cute cat pictures, and she’s a self-published author, which is amazing.

Purr – As cats do this when they’re happy or relaxed, what is the book that makes you happiest or relaxed?

Probably The Sisters Grimm series!! Mostly because of nostalgia, but the family is so cute and I love all the characters to death.

Sleep – What is a book that put you to sleep or was just boring?

Like 90% of the required reading texts I had for school. The most boring was probably The Scarlet Letter…  it was the only one I couldn’t be bothered to finish.

Twitch While Dreaming – Have you ever dreamt of a book you read?

I don’t think so?? I really wish I would though, that sounds great.

Seems to Play Nice…Until the Claws are Out – Which book had the biggest plot twist?

The most recent one was probably Everything, Everything. It wasn’t the biggest plot twist ever, but it caught me totally off guard.

Cuddles – Which book character would you give a hug to?

Hermione from Harry Potter…because I love her and she’s been through so much.

Catnip – What’s a book that made you have warm and fuzzy feels?

Fangirl!! It’s adorable and relatable, and Cath and Levi make me so happy.

Cat Breeds – What are your favorite books?

Well, Fangirl, for one. Here’s a huge list: Harry Potter, The Night Circus, This Song will Save Your Life, Seraphina, I’ve Got Your Number, Catching Fire, Pride and Prejudice, A Wrinkle in Time, literally all of the Jaclyn Moriarty books I’ve read, all of E.D. Baker’s books, Hamlet, if that counts as a book, and Koukou Debut and Hirunaka no Ryuusei, aka the cutest manga to ever exist.

Getting the Cat – How did you find your favorite book(s)?

Oh jeez, lots of places. Most were just because I randomly bought them or picked them up at the library, but some were recommended and some I found online.

The Vet’s Office – Your least favorite book:

Probably either The House by Christina Lauren or Nobody by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. They were just…ridiculous. So bad. Unfortunately I read them before I started my blog so I had nowhere to rant about them but trust me, they were the worst.

Being in Places They Shouldn’t – Least favorite cliche:

Love triangles, probably. Or when the main character is somehow amazing at everything they do. I’m also being a complete hypocrite because Throne of Glass had both of those things and I still really liked it so…

Final Question: The Good Old Cardboard Box – Most underrated book series:

I’m gonna promote one of my fave authors, Jaclyn Moriarty, as I do on basically all of my posts because I apparently have no shame. But her Ashbury/Brookfield series is perfection.

I tag…

and my most recent follower!

(hopefully you all like cats!!)

P.S. – Whoops, sorry this is coming out so late!!! There was a little scheduling mishap. It’s all good though. It’s still Saturday. It’s probably fine.

  1. Thanks so much for the tag! I do love kitties…I currently have 3, so if I didn’t like them already, I kind of would have to. XD I didn’t know you read the House. I read it before I started blogging as well, and omg, you’re so right. That book was…I’m not even sure what to say. It was all sorts of insanity. XD And I definitely agree about love triangles. I might have to use that for my answer as well. Thanks so much again, and I loved reading your answers. 😀

      1. OMG. I was going through my emails and just found I never responded to this. XD But yes, all three are a mess – sometimes it would be better to just have one crazy cat but they’re all so adorable you forget they’re all insane and just go with them. And YES. I literally just sat there going WTH every two seconds. I was telling my friend about it and she didn’t believe me that this existed.

      2. Lol that’s okay!! I do the same thing sometimes. But yes, I definitely see the upside of having 3 cats. Which is: they’re super adorable. And that book was so unbelievable…not sure if you remember it, but that scene with the two main characters and the tree in the park has permanently scarred my brain.

  2. I can’t believe I just saw this!!! This tag looks so fun! Thanks for tagging me! And I love your answers by the way! I think I will have a fun time trying to answer them! 😉 (P.S. I’m honestly a dog person, but a cute little puppy dog that tickles you and makes you go “aww” type of person. And I’m a guy! 😂)
