The Joy of Christmas Book Tag

Welcome back to Book Tag Saturday, where we’re all ignoring the fact that I didn’t do a book tag last week. It’s fine. Nothing to see here. So, seeing as Christmas is LITERALLY TOMORROW, OH MY GOD, I’m going to do a Christmas-related tag. Which is: The Joy of Christmas Book Tag.

I wasn’t personally tagged for this, but I saw Heather @ The Sassy Book Geek‘s post and it looked like a ton of fun so I’m doing it! Because I can. Also, go check out Heather’s post because she has some great answers.

Anticipation – The Christmas excitement is real, what book release(s) are you most anticipating.

Only Caraval and History is All You Left Me come out in January, and the rest come out in the spring/summer..so I have to wait a while for all of these. But they look so good?? I’m definitely the most excited for Caraval, and the To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before series isn’t my favorite but I NEED to see how it ends.

Christmas Songs & Carols – What book or author can you not help but sing it’s praises.

there-she-is-ig

Rainbow Rowell! I’m not even close to reading all of her books but she’s become a new favorite for me. Her writing is so unique and refreshing and I love it.

Gingerbread Houses – What book or series has wonderful world building

seraphina

This book had such a complex world but it was described so well!!  It was so easy to picture and slide into.

A Christmas Carol – Favorite classic or one that you want to read

pride

Okay, I’ll admit that I really don’t like classic books…but Pride and Prejudice is probably the only exception for me. The writing is great, it’s funny, it’s romantic, and I love it.

Christmas Sweets – What book would you love to receive for Christmas.

fantastic

I’m already getting the movie screenplay for Christmas (which I made sure of) but having the actual field guide version would be super cool. I could read this and the screenplay at the same time. (@Santa….please)

Candles in the Window – What book gives you that warm fuzzy feeling.

anya

I love this little comic so much. It deals with some pretty heavy themes, but it has a great message and a happy ending and captures my exact kind of humor.

Christmas Trees & Decorations – What are some of your favorite book covers.

The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle might be my all-time favorite.

Christmas Joy – What are some of your favorite things about Christmas.

I’m not gonna lie, I love getting presents. Christmas morning, when there’s a stack of presents, and there’s Christmas music playing, and it smells like coffee – might be my favorite time of the whole year. But also, I love the lead-up to Christmas, when all the stores are decorated and there’s Hallmark movies constantly playing, and houses are decorated, and my mom bakes hundreds of cookies (and I sometimes help. Sometimes)

Merry Christmas Eve and Happy first night of Hanukkah everyone!! I’m not going to tag anyone since Christmas is so close and this tag probably won’t be as fun to do after it’s over, but if you want to do it, feel free!

      1. I have been trying to find information about this and haven’t been successful. Maybe the best option for now would be to try used booksellers. I find it odd they didn’t release a reprint in time for the film, though.
